CONVERSION AND EXTENSION OF LISTED COMMERCIAL PREMISES IN HENLEYTOWN CENTRE

Pilates studio, self-contained apartment, and shopfrom small town centre premises

The proposals will bring life to a building that was previously difficult to let, lacking in basic modern amenities and in poor state of repair.  The new lease of life will facilitate the removal of poor-quality modern additions and much needed investment and repairs to the historic fabric.

The design takes the original workshop to the rear and extends it over the courtyard to create the pilates studio and creates a new shared entrance to the upper floors that will allow the apartment to be self-contained and let separately.

The project involves some change to the historic fabric and we used the pre-application process to establish that the proposed alterations would be supported by the conservation officer.
